How the NATB Works

The National Association of Ticket Brokers (NATB) was started in 1994 by a group of concerned ticket brokers who wanted to institute an industry-wide standard of behavior and to craft honorable procedures and techniques to safeguard the public and create a progressive assessment of the industry.

Whereas the aspirations of the NATB are many, their chief function is to speak for the good of genuine ticket brokers by endorsing consumer safeguards and instructing the public about the ticket broker industry. This is performed by reassuring the public that when dealing with an NATB member, they are working with an truthful, trustworthy broker that will furnish what is represented.

In addition, the NATB has crafted a program that permits the public to report unethical conduct by ticket brokers. Through self-governance, the NATB has developed increased protections for ticket-buying consumers.

NATB has worked with law enforcement agencies, state and federal legislators and professional sports leagues and teams. Indeed, NATB has been critical in the NFL’s war against fraudulent and pirate tickets.
